Three Stories of Lives Truly Changed by God’s Love and the Help of Our Sponsors
Cedric Irakoze
Cedric lives In a Ramagana village, receiving weekly visits and food delivery. His name means 'Thank You'. He is special to our hearts because he is overcoming the odds! He is 7yrs old and was not studying because he is suffering from an eye problem and is in need of surgery. Thank you to his sponsors, we are saving money for his surgery and it has given him so much hope, he is like a completely different boy. His sponsors got to meet him and his mother and visit their home in person in January. The family was filled with hope for Cedric and with their help, he can get the medical attention needed! He is sociable and now will look up and his face responds with joy every time Pastor Alexis visits their home with a food delivery. You can see from his photos he is now receiving better care. We are so proud of him!
Lambert Habamahoro
Lambert lives in Kigali City, receiving food delivery during the quarantine. We first met Lambert and his older brother roaming the streets near the Kigali Children’s Center. He is living with a single mom who is struggling to find some small jobs washing fruit and vegetables for a seller in the market. The boys were left looking around for food or scraps of metal they can sell to buy something to eat for that day. Thank you to our sponsors we were able to start providing food and school fees for both boys which keeps them off of the street.
MUGISHA Byukusenge and her brother IRADUKUNDA
In Kigali City, these two siblings receive weekly visits and food deliveries. They currently live with their father who is a single parent neighboring our Kigali Children Center. Since we have been investing in their lives they have responded to knowing Jesus and are excited for church every Sunday. They have received new clothes from sponsorship which has given them a reason to be proud of how clean they look and are interacting with the other children in a whole new way. There is nothing in the world more satisfying than placing value on a child. They both started attending school for this first time ever this January. Their parents are also receiving the Word and personal discipleship through our church.
