Most of our schools started classes for the year in February. Normally we would send out updated classroom photos around this time, but in accordance with local governments, the majority of our schools are closed for the time being. We remain committed to our school's staff and students and are doing our best to continue paying our staff during the school closures. Students in Guinea have been experiencing interrupted education because of political unrest in the nation and now more uncertainty as they also face lockdown orders due to COVID-19 precautions.
We greatly appreciate your prayers and consider it an honor to serve those in need. The communities we minister to tend to be disproportionately impacted by crisis and do not have the ability to stockpile, making quarantine very difficult. Please pray for our students and their families. We hope to have classroom updates out to you once our schools are able to reopen.
In the midst of this storm, we fix our eyes on Jesus! During these challenging times, our ministry locations are following the recommendations of their governments while doing their best to care for children in great need. We continue to focus our hearts and minds on King Jesus as He is our ultimate reward! We are grateful for all of our staff on the front lines caring for children with such grace and dedication. We are also so thankful for you, our community of sponsors! Because of your monthly support, we will be able to pay our teachers and staff during this time of uncertainty even as our schools are temporarily shut. Although there are many challenges, we know our hope and trust is in Jesus. Please persevere with us in prayer for our students, staff, and the communities in which they live. God is our ever-present help in time of trouble!
