A Voice for the Voiceless

Never in our wildest of dreams would we have envisioned our lives would look like what they do today! For the last 10 years, my husband James and I have been qualified graphic designers, videographers, and photographers. We grew up in a small town in Tasmania, Australia, started dating at the age of 14, and have been together ever since.

We never imagined Jesus could use our skills in media on the mission field to help transform lives, give a voice to the voiceless, and bring hope to the lost and the broken. But here we are, now living in Pemba, Mozambique!

We are new members of the Iris Global team, serving Stop for the One for almost two years, and over that time we have traveled to 6 of our Iris centers, capturing testimonies, meeting our children, and learning what it means to daily stop for the one in front of you. You may have already seen some of our photos of cheerful young faces and videos sharing about our different centers. Being a part of and serving the Iris Global family and assisting with Stop for the One has been one of the biggest blessings. It is breathtaking to see the global Church partnering with our teams on the ground to be Jesus’s hand and feet.

Words can hardly explain the emotions that come flooding in when you meet a child who was once an orphan, homeless and abandoned, but now is empowered, loved, and given a new family. To us, seeing the lives of these precious young children saved and made new is one of the most treasured and valued gifts. It is truly humbling to be face to face with these children and hear about their lives being transformed by the love of Jesus and the care of others. We are so grateful we can be a part of what Jesus is doing, not just here in Mozambique, but across the globe.

We are excited to visit more of our ministry centers in the future and share with you more testimonies of the victories these young lives!  We pray our videos and photos bring you along the journey, as you also stop for the one with us, through your prayers, support, and generosity.
